Thank you everyone for participating in this large endeavor! The "Summit Cooks" cookbook will go on sale beginning Monday, April 27th. Enjoy! VBS WORK FOLLOW-UP!
This year's VBS was a huge success! Summit members, along with Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. Joseph Episcopal Church, joined forces in a community-wide VBS called Crocodile Dock! Here are some statistics about our week:
-Number of Children Enrolled: 105
-Summit Teachers/Leaders: 3
-Summit Volunteers/Helpers: 18
-Service Project Results: 904 items donated to the
Grand Prairie Food & Clothing Co-Op
A sense of satisfaction and teamwork was evident both prior to and during the week! And a special thanks and recognition goes to Pastor Ryan Mills (Our Redeemer Lutheran Church), Jeanne Maxwell (VBS Director), Bob Lonergan (Set Designer) for their hard work and support. Also, a special thanks to Anita Fry and Tammy Patton for teaching the Bible lessons and Sam and Pat Hayton for their hard work during registration. Our leadership team was invaluable! What a fantastic job they did!
The props and set designs that were constructed will now be used by other churches who lack the time and resources to build their own VBS set. Crocodile Dock lives on!
